Bark & Bond
On the last Tuesday of each month, The Dog Moms of Durham meet up at Boxyard RTP for social time for both pups and their people! Starting at 6 p.m. we will meet at the Bark yard to allow the pups to run around. Then at 7 p.m. we head into their Dog Friendly outdoor facility to enjoy dinner and drinks!
If you pup is not into play time, still feel free to join us for human social time at 7 p.m.!
APS Walk for the Animals
It’s here! The 2024 Walk for the Animals! On June 1st, at Duke University’s East Campus, APS of Durham is going to stretch their legs with the biggest animal lovers in Durham.
The Walk is a yearly reminder that APS can only do our life-saving work thanks to our incredible community lifting them up with their energy, compassion, and commitment. This year, they are encouraging folks to team up and fundraise to help us reach our 2024 goal of $120,000. Then, we’ll come together on June 1st to celebrate!

On June 1st, we party together! Their big walk around Duke East Campus, led by our Grand Marshal, is only one part of the festivities. There will pet contests, congratulate the biggest fundraisers, award raffle prizes, and more! Volunteer Day at APS of Durham
Spend an afternoon with The Dog Moms of Durham as we help APS around the shelter. This day of volunteering could include cleaning, organizing, walking dogs, or more.

The Dog Moms of Durham Present... Dog Dad Olympics!
During an afternoon of friendly competition, Dog Dads can show of their skills as well as their pups skills! This event benefits Beautiful Together Sanctuary!

In celebration of the last weekend to put your votes in for Beautiful Together's Rescue Brew Fundraiser, you and your dog will be able to hunt prize/treat filled "beer" cans that will be hidden through out the bark yard! $5 for 3 beer cans! Proceeds will benefit Beautiful Together Sanctuary.
👨🐶 1p Father - Dog Look Alike Contest
Have you been told you look like your dog? Or your dog looks like you? Well now is your chance to show it off! Contest participants will showcase their "twining" with their dogs in this father-dog look alike contest. Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestant.
$5 donation to Beautiful Together Sanctuary to enter.
🍪 2p Treat Catching Contest
How good is your pup at catching cookies? How good are YOU at catching cookies? In this unique treat catching contest, Dog Dads will pair up with their pups to see who makes the best treat catching TEAM! Prizes will be awarded! $5 donation to Beautiful Together Sanctuary to enter!

National Dog Party Day

For our March Bark & Bond, we will be having a Spring Cleaning Donation Evening with Paws4ever! Paws4ever’s Pet Pantry can temporarily supply food, toys, litter, and other resources to owners who have fallen on hard times. So clean out your pups old items and bring them to Bark & Bond!
Egg Hunt & Adoption Event
Start a yearly Easter tradition with The Dog Mom’s of Durham Egg Hunt!
Event Activities:
Egg Hunt: You and your dog will have the opportunity to hunt for goodie filled eggs. Egg prizes range from doggie treats to grand prize baskets! The 2024 Egg Hunt will raise funds for Carolina Boxer Rescue. For every $10 donation you will be able to gather 5 eggs.
Photo Booth: The Easter Bunny will be stopping by for your pup to snap a quick pick! Photos will be taken by Assorted Poppies Photo. $10 Suggested Donation to Carolina Boxer Rescue is encouraged.
Treasure Hunt: Humans will be invited to follow Easter themed clues to find the hidden treasure!
Vendors: Shop local vendors and meet dog friendly businesses!

2023 Triangle Barkitecture
Triangle Barkitecture is a one-of-a-kind pet architecture and design competition to raise money for pets in need by supporting local foster and pet rescue organizations right here in the Triangle. Local architects, engineers, designers, and creative minds all over the Triangle compete to create the best custom pet architecture that is then auctioned off at the event with 100% of those profits going to pets in need.
